Dori Friend is a highly talented and innovative graphics designer who is tuned in to cultural and business trends. She is always on the leading edge of desing trends. She is also wonderful to work with. When the four major technology companies Apple, AT&T, IBM, and Siemens formed a joint technology alliance, we needed a logo that reflected the collaborative nature of this venture and its theme of diversity.

The logo also needed to work in Europe and the US, and be accepted by each of our four very different business cultures.

We had tried several top New York design firms, who despite their heady budgets and several weeks effort, could not produce a logo acceptable to all companies.

A friend told me about Dori, who had done some design work for Apple at the time. Over the phone, I explained what we needed, and in a very short time, we had a logo draft that everyone loved. The design elements Dori developed for this logo were very new and innovative, and have since been 'copied' by several companies, including Amazon.com.

To this day, the logo continues to receive compliments, but, more importantly, it enabled the excellent brand recognition among investors and customers that the venture now enjoys.
